Physicians for Human Rights is committed to the belief that all human beings are entitled to a life in which the conditions for their basic health and safety are met. The University of Maryland chapter of this national organization focuses on achieving these goals through education, community and international projects, and activism. Our main endeavors include: HIV counselor training for medical students, supplying anti-retroviral drugs to countries in Africa, student activism in favor of access to medicines in third world countries and informative talks on related topics. If you are at all interested in human rights, and international work please join our efforts!
